I'm liking # One and # 7. :D

Who needs friends when there is booze and blue pills. ;)
I’m only pushing on 55 so, I’m still pretty young, but I have made younger friends over the years as a buffer for when the friends that are my age or older kick the bucket..
I also have a few guns with some extra ammo, just in case.
You never know. There may be another member here on the forum that’s not far from you. Y’all could meet at McDonald’s for some of their bad coffee and then go shooting. If y’all are about the same age, y’all could go over to the closest old folks home and pick up older women. ;)

Just thinkin' out loud here but you could really use a nice lever gun to go with Number 4 and Number 5.

And then what???

Oh I get it; we want to take them shooting!

Gunny, you know eating and drinking at the golden arches is deadlier than being in combat I recon.;) I do like the way you think though.

OP good start on a fine collection IMHO. Over the years I have found shooting buddies in some of the strangest places if your senses are tuned to it. Now we just have to get you into reloading.:D That keeps me out of trouble for weeks on end.:p

Numbers 4 and 5 kinds tweaked my interest. Why don't you drive down and I'll take you to the local range. It's almost a straight shot south from Loveland. Only catch is I'm only about 75 miles north of the Texas line.

I've passed through Loveland twice, going to and coming from Mount Rushmore. We stopped on the way up and went into Dick's and walked around to stretch out the kinks. That's the only time I've ever been close to one of their stores. To be honest I didn't think I had missed anything for not ever being to one before. On the way home we stopped on the west side of the road for another stretching session and it cost me for four pair of athletic shoes. Two for me and two for my wife.

I like that Chiappa you got. Nifty little rifle, even if it's a pain sometimes getting spent shells out. Buddy of mine has one and it's a hoot to shoot.

Your list has some gaps in it, I fear.

There's naught in there in "varmint" territory. Varmint shooting ought to be plentiful in CO. It's cheaper than golf (and the outfits are no where as silly). Can be done singly or in groups. Will take turns exhilarating and humbling, too. Ton of options to try out and chew upon--.22-250, .222, .223, .243, .25-06, even 6.5x55 (and many, many more). It's about having a comfortable ground cloth, a high quality bipod, and good glass (spotter and scope). And an excellent reason to be outdoors and shooting. And, let's face it, a bad day shooting is typically better than a great day doing anything else).

I might also suggest something in a .30 caliber range. Would not have to be aservie rifle (even if shooting one of those can be a reward of its own), but something in .308 keeps ammo costs low, so you can focue on "beating" the paper.

That's my 2¢, I'm only three years older thna the Gunny, but I remember when 2¢ bought stuff

Folks only need to justify their gun collection to themselves. Far to many want to criticize and tell us what else we need and should get without having any clue as to what we like and need. Regardless of the booze and little blue pills, one needs friends(of one kind or another;)) to enjoy them with. At least with firearms, we can enjoy them alone. Sounds like so far you're happy with what you got.......good for you.
