Hey all, Anyway, I am planning on going up the mountains soon and will be doing some hunting with one of my friends for squirrels. We will be using .22s But there has been some aggressive dogs up there that have been bothering hunters. I am planning on borrowing my dads old model 38 airweight 38 special revolver for defense against the 4 legged kind of attacker. The problem is he is a right handed shooter and I am a left handed shooter. So I was wondering what would be a good holster for a lefty? I was looking but without much luck. Also i want to try to keep the price under $50. Here is a picture of the same gun, Just not my dads. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...1&ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0&biw=1432&bih=690 Thanks in advance for any help.

You can pickup a Blackhawk sherpa left hand holster for j frames old or new. It is a very good retention holster that can just slip over your pants and belt. They are low in cost also.

Hey thanks for the ideas, But I don't really need a ccw holster, Just something to reliably keep my gun in, I was trying to find the serpa for a j frame revolver but having no luck, Any suggestions?

The black hawk serpa ain't a ccw holster. It has a paddle to fit over your pants and belt and does give good retainage with the holster on the outside. Also has a trigger gaurd clip that hlds the gun in place. That would make it hard to loss the revolver and you should be able to pickone up at most gun shops. Also like covered many shops have a box full of use holsters. Look for one with a strap to hold your j frame in.

NO i wasnt talking about the serpa, one guy put up a link for an IWB holster. But next time i plan on shooting I will pick something up.
