M60 or M795, you can't go wrong. I shot my buddy's new 795 with Sweet .22 scope, flawless.

BTW the Boyd's stock is a nice (heavy) upgrade that required no fitting, staright drop in.

I love the old "squirrel stock" Glenfield/ Marlin 60. Twenty-two inch micro-grooved barrels with eighteen round tube magazine goodness. I've been picking them up around here for around a hundred bucks. Marlin made millions of these things, so the supply isn't going to dry up soon. I also own 10/22's but think that the 60's are better rifles out of the box.

I have the model 600 and the model 60. Both are vintage models. I wouldn't give a bucket of dung piss for the new ones. I'll take older models any day of the week.
just my two cents.

Thanks. I might be back in there to barter it a bit ($125?) and see what happens. My oldest uses Savage bolt guns only (22lr, .223, and .243), my middle child likes my family's handed down 10/22 (bad history with that gun, but she loves it), and I am aching for a Henry large loop so this would round out the collection.

Now for the wife fight!
