Old RCBS .308 winchester dies

My wonderful boss gave me a set of old RCBS .308 winchester dies part # 15501. He said they were used very little and upon inspection the dies are in good shape. There is no rust on the inside of the dies. The resizing die has a neck expander that measures .307. The dies were made in 1974. So what do you think about using these dies?

I have several sets of dies that were manufactured in the early sixties that I use on a regular basis.

Most of my dies are older than you stated. Go for it.

I'm pretty sure the dimensions of .308 Winchester have not changed since those dies were made.

The way quality control has lapsed over the years in a lot of products, those are probably better then what you could buy now.

Most of my RCBS were made in the late 60's early 70's, except for a set of 357 SIGs.

My .308 dies have a "77" date code and I still use them.

My dies are 1970 .308 Winchester (RCBS) purchased new and going strong.

RCBS dies are great regardless of age.

I have a middle 70's RCBS 30-40 die set, works just fine.

Most of mine are from the 80's. They work fine.
