the threads on ammo shortages are closed, so figured I'd have some fun and start a related one. I was gong to post "Waste not want not" in that thread. So, that is my old saying - that people may need to learn again in the near future. What are some other old time saying you recall learning that are likely going to be front and center for a lot of people in the near future?

A lot of people will jump at bargains and often either buy something they really don't need, or more than they really need. My mom did stuff like that occasionally and would use the excuse that she was saving money in the long run by doing so. My dad used to tell her "You can go broke saving money"

They all fall to Ball- my dad, regarding FMJ as carry ammo.

Buy once, cry once

Buy cheap, stack deep.

If you bought 50, shoot 25, put the rest on the shelf- A friend had a better way of saying it, but I can't recall the phrasing.

Beware the man who has one gun- I first heard this from my uncle, who's been shooting the M1903 Springfield since WWII in the Pacific. He's 92, and still outshoots about half his club.

Never start a fight with an old man, he's got less to lose.
