After chasing 45 ACP brass from a 1911 all over the floor and only recovering a fraction of them, I’m looking for brass where that’s not a big problem … money wise. I searched the web for used brass and found Diamond K Brass. Undoubtedly there are many others.

What’s more the word on these guys or any other with the quality of their offerings? At $27.50 for 500 pieces, it’s very tempting.

Last time I researched online brass prices, Diamond K was the best value. Don't know if that has changed lately but it was only a few months ago that I looked last.
You'll just have to watch for the sales and load up when you get a good deal on them.
It's a full time job.

I used this outfit several times a few years ago for both 45acp & 9mm. Still have an unopened bag. Just looked and their prices seem a little better than Diamond K but I don’t know if shipping is included by either. Ironically, I was just extolling their virtues to @GeoDudeFlorida

Setup a brass catcher so you don't have to chase the brass. That's what I do, all the brass goes into a bag. I just pull the bag when through. I will at times put multiple bags in it when I shoot multiple calibers, then I don't have to sort.
At risk of hijacking OP's thread, it seems to be a good related question. What methods / stratagies / devices do individuals or ranges use to capture fired brass so it can be collected....other than crawling around on the ground.......or using the rollers? Local range I use has a graveled area where mixed fired brass is piling up. Will soon be paved with it. Gravel makes it nearly impossible to find.

I ask as I'm hearing rumors the range is planning improvements to include actual shooting lanes vs. a designated general area with a set of berms people are using.

I bet if OP put out a WTB .45 ACP brass here, he could get 1,000 for $50 shipped

and don’t forget to negotiate @CajunBass

You may want to look for small primer too, because large primers are sometimes hard to find.

Or put a tarp down on the ground to the right of where your standing to catch the brass.

I always loved shooting my AMT Hardballer 45 acp and leaving the range with less brass than I came with was not in my DNA so I made sure to go after and retrieve every case ... then I got old and my back got old and my middle got big and my eyesight started to fade spotting and bending over and picking up all that brass became a No-Go situation .
So ... I went revolver !
I have a 45 acp and 38 special now ... the 38 special has a red dot for my old eyes .
Life is now good ... I can see the target and the empties stay in my hand ...SWEET !

Check with your local indoor range , they may sell "once fired " brass .
The local indoor range I shoot at was selling 9mm luger brass so cheaply it didn't pay for me to pick it up .
At the time (pre-Covid ) $12.00 got you 1500 empty cases , mixed head stamp , no postage !
Check local ranges .

Finding ways to not lose brass in the first place is a good idea. I always lose some, and spend way too much time looking for them. Its sort of a challenge itself, like finding Waldo. i dont mind it. (Except losing 30 carbine brass $&@"!)

Ive used Diamond K a bunch of times and have never had a complaint. Always exactly as advertised, clean, and in decent shape.

And be aware that 45 ACP brass comes in small primer pockets and large primer pockets. Nothing like 'cruching' when trying to force a LPP into a SPP pocket.
There’s a hiccup with Diamond K Brass with .45 ACP. If you want .45 ACP LPP (large pistol primer) pocket only brass, the price goes up dramatically: from $52.50 for 1000 mixed LPP + SPP pieces to $150.00 for LPP pocket only pieces.

I asked about the percentages of LLP to SPP with mixed brass and he said about 3 to 1.

I see you're in FL. Everglades Ammo is not as cheap, but their brass is good to go. They're in Naples, btw. I've bought a bunch of bullets from them.

I have bought used bass from several different places. I haven't found a huge difference between any of them.

Just go out to AmmoSeek and search for 45acp brass:
