I got a call from an uncle last night, who informed me that he has just been diagnosed with liver cancer. He starts chemo on Monday ... prognosis is not good.

He's a retired bird colonel (Air Force) who flew in both Korea and Nam. He's still a fighter. He sounded very upbeat considering the bad news, but he was calling in his fellow prayer warriors. Prayer on his and his family's behalf would be appreciated.

Where 2 or more are gathered I(GOD) am in your midst. Well, theres alot more than 2 posts, of people praying for your uncle, so that only means one thing. That GOD is in the midst of this situation and we lay it before him, that he may take control of the situation and Bless your uncle with a healing touch. My prayers are with him.

My pops was diagnosed with lung cancer and given six months to live. They tried surgery, but after opening him up, they discovered it had spread to neighboring lymph nodes, etc. They just closed him back up. He then underwent radiation therapy because they deemed him too weak for chemo.

This was over seven years ago. My pops is a fighter, too. Here's hoping that your uncle's even more of a survivor.
