Just as the title suggests there is this website on Buds front page where you buy "bids" to pay for some gun or what have you for pennies. Does anyone have any experience with these types of websites or have any advice they could give me as I am seriously considering trying it.

It's a rip off, you pay for bids, the lowest unique bid wins the auction. You'll likely spend way more on bids than you will save in the rare case of winning.

Sites like that wouldn't exist is everyone was getting items that typically cost hundreds of dollars for pocket change. If it sounds to good to be true, it is.

Sounds like a penny auction site... Which are designed specifically to separate the weak-minded from their hard earned cash.

Yes, you may get a $500 gun for $250. However, you could pay $300 for the bids to buy the gun for $250. When you add the price you paid to the cost of the bids you made you usually overpay for the item. The bidders fixate on the sale price instead of the total price. It's a legal scam.

They make money hand over fist by selling bids, your 10 cents in bids will cost you somewhere around $1.00.............which doesn't sound like much, till you start doing the real math and see what those items are REALLY generating income wise!!

Sooo, you pay for the bids, then you pay the bid price, then (probably shipping) and then a transfer fee to save a few bucks.....maybe

Well then, thank you all for your replies. The system sounds horrible, its just been around for so many years I thought it good option. I was also expecting buds to host connections to only valuable sights.
