There were some who were pushing for everyone that could to open carry on July 4th. I haven't seen any posts concerning that other than someone that got arrested in the free state of California.

I had a unique experience. It isn't a big deal to open carry for the most part here in Wyoming, but I decided that I'd do it and see what kind of reactions I recieved. I already knew that I'd have to disarm at least once because I was planning on going to a gun show. I do always voice my opinion that I think it's crazy for those of us who promote gun activities to ban guns. Anyway, I had another time during the fourth that I had to remove my guns.

I went to breakfast with my family. I had finished my meal, and I started to feel badly. I guess I started to rub my head and passed out. The ambulence crew were quite curious as to why I had several guns on me. Eventually, after I had come to, I had my son take my holster off my hip and remove another lcp I had in my rear pocket so as to avoid further questions.

Anyone else have any carry events on the fourth?

So are you okay? Did you find out why you passed out?

I open carried around town, but that's not unusual for me and nothing particularly eventful happened.

I guess I'm fine although I'm missing a lot of hair from the ekg electrode patches they put all over me and the fact that my wife wasn't comfortable with my sweating this morning because it reminded her of my sweating on the fourth while she was holding my head.

I don't have a gallblader which means that my stomach works a little differently. Sometimes, if I eat first thing in the morning, it's almost as if my stomach just dumps a whole truck load of bile down there and my body sends a lot of blood down there. It usually just means that I have to find a bathroom very soon. The other day it mean't that my body sent too much blood to my stomach and so the brain shuts everything down so that you have to lay down, which allows blood to flow to the brain again. I guess the brain looks out for itself.

That was probably more information than was needed or wanted. The long and short is that I spent much more than what I wanted to spend on a gun on medical services instead.

Yeah, hope you are OK!

I decided to "bite the bullet" and open carry all day. Went to a parade, walked past cops and soccer moms and hardly a word or a look. Even went up to the police trailer with my buddy to say "hi" and they didn't bat an eye.

I've been flirting with OC for a while now, but this was definitely my biggest outing. I was really impressed with the LEOs and the community as a whole for keeping a non-issue a non-issue like it should be.

Cheers.

I open carry at times, mainly OC'ed this weekend. No one either noticed or if they did, did not care or worry about it.

I had a drive by while OC!!!

I normally OC, it was around 1:00 AM
I usually take the dog for a walk, this time it was no different. As I was walking a patrol car passes me , I glance over to see his brake lights com on as he slows but doesn't stop .
I thought Probably caught him off guard.
About a 30 seconds goes by and around the next corner I see headlights turning my way and the same Officer drives by me, this time I waved and continued my walk. :)

The reason I'm out so late is during the week I work nights so on the weekends I still stay up late to keep my internal clock in flux (hence the 3:30 post)

I OC's a few places this weekend again myself, and as usual, even here in ultra-liberal, aging hippie and liberal arts university student packed Eugene, no one seemed to notice or care.I'm ok with that though.;)

I open carried all weekend as usual, except I didn't go anywhere off the property except for a horseback ride on Saturday. Friday I was sick with allergies all day. :(

Sunday a friend from a couple miles away came over with her guns and we shot a while in our backyard and had hamburgers.

But, but . . . you forgot "and Olympic hypeful" after "university student". Otherwise, you pretty much nailed the east side of town.
