I need 150 signatures to open my petition on whitehouse.gov.

It is a petition to open up firearms importation from China, in order to help increase supply of cool milsurp arms and ammo.

Please sign it here if you support this:

Thanks if you sign, and thanks if you just take the time to participate (or read the petitions) in your own governance.:)

Considering our Canadian neighbors have access to everything banned from us there's no good reason anymore that this shouldn't go ahead.

Please help me at least get it to 150 signatures, so the public can decide...it'll go on the main site if it hits that amount

No. You are asking the WH for a response to your question. That is it. It is not a petition to make the government change it's policy. That is not what the WH petitions are for. Read the WH website on petitions. People seem to think if you get enough signatures you can get them to change something. It is useful to get the WH to comment on an issue they do not have an official policy on.
No matter how many millions of "signers" you get, all they will do is give you a written answer to their official position. That's it. We know their position.

If you want to change it, write your Congressman, or better yet. Vote. Online petitions mean nothing.

If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it’s sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response

I have contacted my local reps and the governor's office on recent gun control legislation issues, but I feel that every bit helps. Showing the White House that people want something to change could be ignored, but if it is in a public forum, I do not believe it is useless. We have to participate in order to get the government we deserve. Thank you for your input.

Good luck. The whole Norinco ban issue was a bit of funny situation. However, I feel that if the parties involved are no longer with the company then the ban should be lifted by now.

It does seem irrational that we import and outsource so many other things (like "everything" for example) from China but not firearms.
