Opinion: Armalite AR-30 in 338 lapua mag

I have a chance to get a NEW Armalite AR-30 in 338 lapua mag.

Price: $1,300.

Should I get this rifle, or should I save up for a Sako TRG or AI?

Anyone know the accuracy for the AR-30 in 338? Will the Sako or AI be substantially more accurate?

I know a few guys with AR-30's in 338LM.

I have not seen groups at short or long distance, but I know they can hit a 1MOA target at 1000 yards almost every time with a good load and the right nut behind the trigger.

It's a good value.

+1 for the Sako if the price is similar

I have never owned an AR-30, though, I do like them. Personally, I like that they are American-built with nearly all American parts. However, reflecting on the quality of the Sako that I owned years back, I can state without reservation, they are serious firearms! No compromise; quality performance or they do not ship. They will trash the rifle before they will trash their reputation. I wish I could fire rifles still!

I'm green with envy! Let us know what you buy.
