Opinion needed

A little out of focus but close enough to tell it is in okay condition. If it were mine, I know what I would do!

I owned the same revolver.. mine had the barrel cut to 3 inches … a really nice sight installed..hammer bobbed and a fresh parkerized finish
I was a idiot for letting it go …

personally .. If I owned your revolver… Id do the same to it

DO NOT COBBLE THAT GUN UP! It will only appreciate in value. Alter it and its value as a collectible is destroyed. Want a 45 with a shorter barrel? Go buy one.

I think you should do it.
A well executed custom is a thing of beauty, and since it belongs to you, do what makes you happy.
There are plenty of others out there for the collectors to squirrel away in their safes never to be seen again.

Worst thing you can do is let someone's "little" gun dogma dictate what you do with your property and by extension your mind. Truth. Your life is to short not to give yourself unique and fulfilling experiences. Making the revolver something you want to experience trumps all. Go modify YOUR revolver and have a blast doing. Regards to you and all those about to throw rocks.
