Included in a trade I'm doing are three Magpul Maglinks. Personally I've never used them, couldn't care less about them and will probably sell/ trade out of them in the future.

But I'm not opposed to giving them a chance.

I'd like to hear first hand accounts from the community as to their usefulness, or lack there of.

They would be worthless to me.

Guns are heavy enough for fast handling without strapping on another full mag.

I Do have mag-Pul loops on every mag I own.

Very useful for getting them out of a mag pouch or hip pocket fast, or dangling an extra one on a left hand finger.

They also cushion the mag sometimes when you dump them out on the ground.

I like the original Mag Puls, which was the first product and namesake for Magpul. I need to get some for the mags I already have.

As I said, I have no desire for the links, they're just included in the trade... looking for opinions from casual shoots, and generally what I find is that they're pretty useless unless you're a special operator operating in a special operations zone (i.e. the mall).

they are a good idea for a HD/ fighting rifle/ truck gun.....it give you the option of a reload without having to figure out how to carry a spare mag( mag pouch, chest rig, toss it in your pocket)

especially if you are running reduced capacity magazines.

if you just use your gun as a range toy, then yeah, they are pretty useless.

I use mag couplers cut down from original Choate versions with a pair of 20-round GI mags.

They offer a quick 40 rounds for my HD carbine.
