Opinions on El Paso Saddlery for holsters

Curious if anyone has an opinion on the El Paso Saddlery for elegantly crafted holsters for concealed carry? I have one of their shotgun toe guards that I use for trap shooting, and it's one of my favorite shotgunning accessories. Very well crafted.

I'm learning about concealed carry and have just purchased a 1960 EG Mak. Haven't given too much thought about what kind of holster is the right one for me, but a "Double Agent" crossdraw holster seems like the place to start. Here's a page from the El Paso Saddlery site for this flavor:

I have an El Paso Saddlery "High Slide". It is an OK holster that I bought from Cheaper than Dirt. The Cheaper than Dirt price was about $20 less than direct from El Paso Saddlery. If I had paid full retail, I think I would have been disappointed.

With the purchase, I did learn I don't care for "slide" type holsters, so that was good. Regardless of the style of holster, in addition to the El Paso holster, I have holsters from High Noon, Raven Concealment, and Garrett Industries, the El Paso Saddlery "High Slide" is not as good as the others.

Been using them since the early 80s... Great holsters and company to deal with. They have made several custom holsters for me over the years and all have been "top shelf" products.

Can't say a thing bad about them. Some yrs back I ordered a shoulder rig for my dad with some floral and initial work done. It was probably to close to Christmas but they went above and beyond getting it done and shipped on time.
I have an old Tortilla for a 1911 that is one of my favorites as well.
For traditional leather from an historic maker they are tops.

No expert on gunleather by any means, but I have one of their holsters for my SBH & love it. The quality and craftsmanship are impressive.

Back when I was into SASS, I had the Doc Holliday rig from El Paso. Their the best gunleather makers I've seen.

I've been buying holsters and gunbelts from El Paso Saddlery for over 30 years now and have always been impressed with their quality. However the last holster I received from them, a Tom Threepersons for a Ruger Blackhawk was a big disappointment. It had a large gouge in the leather beginning at the front and running across the side of the holster...a very glaring imperfection that should not be on a holster costing close to $100. And they used a heavy coat of dark brown dye to cover it up. It's not the lighter, natural looking leather you see in their older holsters. I'm in the process now of trying to exchange it. I hope this doesn't indicate a decrease in the quality of their products. The ones I have bought earlier have all been flawless.
