Ok, I have done a search and read through the comments. Does anyone have any opinions of this rifle? One has been offered to me used and I am trying to decide if I want it. The model that is for sale is the PTR 91 KFM4, which has picatinny rails and a collapsible stock like and AR. The asking price is $1200. What are your thoughts?

Have you looked up the MSRP? I'm not sure but $1200 seems a bit pricey for a used PTR91 unless it comes with some extras.

Things to consider: Make sure magwell and stock are tight. Sight adjustment takes modified pliers or HK tool.

Maybe $10 more but it would be new

I would use the CDNN price to get the guy down to $1000 but that's just me.

But in all seriousness PTR91's are nice rifles. They can be a bit rough on brass if you plan on reloading

After some initial teething problems, my rifle has not missed a beat. It is extremely accurate, and reliable.

It will readily accept the 22 long rifle G3 conversion kit too, which with ammo prices being what they are these days, is a heck of a deal.

I have owned my PTR-91 for close to six years.
No complaints on fit, function, or accuracy.

Try to haggle, but that's not an unreasonable price. A PTR-91 is a rifle you will never regret. I did sell mine, but someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I will have another one someday.

I traded mine for a G21SF and G(lock)36. I know I kind of lost on the trade. The PTR was great, but it just kind of sat in the safe and never really fit any role.

My tastes just kind of changed.... I didn't want my rifles to resembles Rainbow Six guns anymore.
