Opinions, please; Colt or Glock?

I own 2 Glocks 23 & 27, and I would have to say get the colt. Like many others have already said, the 37 has no track record yet. The .45 gap round has no history. So untill there is more info on this combo I would stay away. Now if you want to look at other caliber Glocks than I would have to reconsider.

Very tough choice. Flip a coin. But if you get a GLOCK get a caliber that will be around in a few years(not the 37). Colts are works of art , Glocks are tools. If you want aesthetics get the Colt. If you just want a ugly gun that goes bang 100% of the time get a Glock.

I have both Colt 1911 and Glocks and tell you the truth I trust my Glocks more than my Colts. My Colts are my safe queens, my Glocks are my home defense guns.

I'd pick the Glock. The Commander will probably need some work.
As for the comments about the G37 I felt the same way UNTIL I started thinking about the women and all with small hands.
Remember when 'Oob was touting the "flying ashtray" (Speer 200g) at an honest 1000fps? Remember that the 9 and 40 only do at extreme pressures what the .45 does naturally?
Well, why shouldn't the GAP take these shooters by storm? They can find a small frame that fits, a round that is easier on the gun and the shooter and is already proven.

Well, now another choice has come in... dang... a Para Ordnance 7.45 LDA, I've always wanted to try one... only $400! Should I?

Well, I too am partial to the 1911 platform and I'd personally take the Commander over the G37. The 45 GAP is a neat cartridge with some potential but right now, at this point, I see a few more drawbacks to the 45GAP cartridge than to the 45ACP cartridge.

I have nothing against Glocks... they serve their purpose very well. Now, if you were asking between the G36 or a Commander, I might have a bit more pause but the G37 is larger or should be more difficult to conceal than the Commander and a less desirable platform in my opinion. Of course, the G37 will weigh a bit less.

But if you get a GLOCK get a caliber that will be around in a few years(not the 37).
I think the .45 GAP will be around for a while. There are enough countries which ban handguns in "military" calibers to ensure it's success. The US isn't the only market for Glocks after all.
