Try as I may, I just don't like the AR15 platform. I've built a few and enjoyed shooting them. Then the new wore off and they sat in the safe until I reconfigured them or sold them. I'm down to my last AR. It is a 16" carbine with free float rails, lmt bolt/carrier, bcm upper components, magpul furniture and a bushmaster lower. I also have several accessories that I've accumulated as freebies or hand-me-downs from other AR products. I like to shoot often, but this thing has sat neglected ever since I "broke it in" with 500 rounds. It has sat in the safe, and not been to the range (which is on my property) for a single trip in months...despite having roughly 1000 rounds on hand. I guess there is only two things to do. Keep in mind, money is tight. Kids, specialist doctor visits and the need to buy an engagement ring are limiting my new firearm purchases.
Taking a class isn't an option. Action shooting may get me more involved, but if I get enough extra cash to take a class, it will be handgun related. I simply prefer shooting handguns.

- Sell off the AR and everything AR related. I don't like to accumulate a bunch of guns I don't shoot. My parents were hoarders of many things, so I have sort of an anti-hording complex. You could say it is a minimalist approach, but I know deep down I fear turning into my parents and being surrounded by clutter that I can't let go of.
- Stick all of the parts in a box, pile up all the mags in a box and stick the rifle in the back of my cramped safe. I should hang on to it because they may ban it one day.
