The trigger pull quality will improve through use.
They are solid, well built, HEAVY little guns. They have a definite quality of workmanship that you don't see in the KelTec.
I sold mine when I bought my Kahr PM9. Loaded, the PM9 weighs less than the Guardian .380.
My biggest problems with the Guardian were:
1. Unpleasant recoil- I dreaded shooting more than a magazine full at the range. I even bought the extended mag to make it easier to hang on to. The Guardian is blowback operated, meaning you will experience more felt recoil than other designs. On the other hand, I can shoot that little PM9 all day without complaint.
2. Weight- So small, yet so heavy. Too heavy compared to other pocket pistols.
I've owned a few.380's:Remngton Model 51, Browning 1910, Browning 1922, Star Super SM, Browning BDA, and shot a number of others: Walther PPK/s, PP, Colt Gov't Model, Mustang, Bersa Thunder and Beretta 84 to name a few. The Guardian ranks right up near the top in quality.
My next .380 will be the Kahr P380.
