This question's been asked an answered a billion times, and this won't be the last time either.. so bear with me ;D
I don't want to pay $400 for an optic, not right now and not for what I have in mind. I'm looking to get an optic for my vz. 58, and I expect to mount said optic on a picatinny rail incorporated into the handguard. I'm considering ordering a rail that goes in the traditional area, but price and practicality dissuade me.
I've never used an optic that far away from my eye before, so I'm not even familiar with how it's like, but if anyone can share their experience with such a setup, or if anyone can suggest optics for the job, I'd appreciate it I reckon those of you who tend towards AK style rifles would be most familiar with where I'm at right now.
