I wanted to order some components from Widener's but they never seem to have want I want in stock.
I mailed them about what I wanted to order and get a time frame on when it would be back in stock, they contacted me and said they had no idea when they could fill my order, said to just check back on the website every week,
man,what a joke !!!

it its what it is....

When you find something you want in stock at Widener's.....buy it!

Their prices are rock bottom and they often get deals on surplus, bulk bullets, etc.

They strike me as a mom and pop, low budget operation. Which is just fine, as long as you re-adjust your expectations and realize that that's part of the reason why they can offer such low prices.

there's room in this world for more than one business model and thank the good Lord that we live in a free country where a little guy can make a go at running his own business.

Midway has a ton of stock and turns orders around same day....but everyone balks that their prices are high.

High compared to what? Widener's?

I've bought from them several times, always got great service.

Components are hard to come buy and when they get in stock.....they go out of stock very fast.

Like the other poster said, buy 'em when you seen them cause they sure go fast.

Great Service

I have gotten great service there. When no one had Federal # 150 primers I kept watching a lot of websites - finally they became available from Widener's. And the price was low enough so that the hazmat charge was offset by my savings and no state tax.

When they shipped my order, they failed to include 1 pound of powder. Called them and they offered to ship it at their expense; I declined as I did not want them to lose money on the deal. They credited my account immediately.

As far as I am concerned, they are a first rate organization that is honest in their dealings with customers.

How much trouble is it to check their website anyway?

I have bought from them. I like them. I have emailed and asked if they were going out of business because they were not restocking. :what:

One time I called to ask about some things. I talked to a very nice lady, and she was saying that she was the only one who could make it into work because of a snow/ice storm. We chatted about the weather, and that was that. I forgot to ask about what I called about.

i've not only ordered, but been to their store (as driving was cheaper than shipping 10,000 200g LSWC and 10,000 primers).

only ever had two complaints about them:
1) their old website sucked the big one
2) they are anti-CCW (have a sign on their door prohibiting carry)

I just bought a case of Federal .22lr's from them...the 525 bulk packs. Looked all over the web and they undercut everybody I looked at. By a lot.

I always go there first when looking for something but if they are out, let your fingers do the shopping and find it elsewhere.

I check their site just about every day. I have been waiting for their order from Lee to come in for over a month. The have been out of starline for a month. I wrote them as asked when they were expecting an order in. They came back and said they havent put in an order to starline maybe sometime during the summer. They have great prices but who is running the show are there three people working there part time or something. I got a discount email from Midway last night. I might just order through them. With the discount it almost brings the price to widener's.
