Maybe old news but I just found out Rim Rock Bullets bought out Oregon trail. Found the new website offering Laser cast and The prices are more in line with Missouri Bullets. I've been shooting Laser Cast 158 gr RNFP and was paying $61.99 for a box of 500 at cabela's. Now I see them for $35.00 on the new site. Free shipping on orders of $100 or more. Seems like a pretty good buy if you can save the shipping on 3 boxes. I just wonder if they are the same exact product?

Well it sure wasn’t “old” news to me – I hadn’t heard Rimrock Bullets bought out Oregon Trail Bullets until I read it in your post. I did a google search though, and it appears you’re right.:)
Anyway, I can’t answer your question about whether or not the Laser Cast bullets from Rimrock Bullets will be the same as the ones you’re used to from Oregon Trail. But I can tell you this – almost all of the cast bullets I use anymore come from Rimrock Bullets, and I used to use Laser Cast bullets from Oregon Trail.
For commercial cast bullets, I much prefer Rimrock Bullet Company bullets. And they’re great people to deal with too. If you want to hear it from “the horse’s mouth” about whether or not their Laser Cast bullets will be the same as the Laser Cast bullets from Oregon Trail, just give them a call. I’ve called them with questions on several occasions, and they’re always helpful and informative.
However, not trying to be a wise guy here, but I’ll bet that if you give some Rimrock “Top Shelf” bullets a try, you’ll like them better than Laser Cast bullets anyway. I do.:)
