Specifications:
12 ga 3"- .727" diameter -600 gr, at 1500 fps. Hard cast and heat treated, the Tusker is rated at 30 bhn. Designed for rifled barrels the Tusker can be used in smoothbore barrels with bore and choke diameter no smaller than

I guess so!!! That should pop a .727 hole in about anything you're likely to be shooting it at. Should make a nice bear defense round up north.

Any other fans of Dixie Slugs ammo on the forum?

My favorite is the 3.5" Tri-Ball buckshot round. Three hard cast .60 caliber pellets. Ultra tight patterns and shoots to the same point of aim as heavy turkey and varmit loads!

Punching a .73 caliber hole completely through to the vitals of big hogs from any angle would make it handy here in LA. That's Lower Alabama for those not from these parts.
