FYI: LEGAL HERE IN TEXAS:D:D

I am looking for a small sized OTF automatic. Actually, the Benchmade Mini Infidel would be exactly what I am looking for if it had a combo edge..

So i am looking for something:

- OTF auto
- high quality
- small
- combo edge

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yep, Microtech is where I'd go.

BTW, you should sign up at Knife Rights and make a small donation as a sign of thanks for getting that change through in TX for you.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Those Microtech's look pretty cool!

How is the quality compared to Benchmade?

We're recommending them instead of the Benchmades so you should assume the quality is equal to or superior to them.

OTOH, if you want to get serious about a small OTF you can contact one of the custom makers that craft them.

Microtech, Dalton or Protech are the best production knifes I know of, Almost forgot Piranha Excalibur,
Thats about it for high quality unless you find a used sandshark,
Customs are another option but more cash too.
Beanchmade bedlam (which is a side opener) are great but the infidel is hit and miss.
My opinions other may think otherwise...

I wouldn't put the Daltons quite up with MTs for quality, but they're pretty close.

BTW, want to go all out? Find a Sandshark or a Harkins Triton.

For production out-the-front automatic knives, Microtech is king, unquestioned.

Other companies makes good OTF knives as well, but nobody makes them (production) like Microtech or has Microtech's wide variety of styles and models.

I've owned a Troodon and a Scarab. Both excellent knives. Unfortunately I cannot own them in my current locale.

Caveat: Honestly auto knives are more of a COOL factor than anything else. The mechanism makes them necessarily more fragile, more prone to breakage and gunk jamming up the system. Also if you break springs, you're going to have issues opening it. Some side-opening autos have a manual open option, like Lone Wolf's hidden scale side-opener autos.
