I tried out a P365 at an indoor range that rents guns. I fired 100 rounds at various distance and was very impressed with the accuracy of the gun. It had the 12 round magazine which allowed me to have a comfortable grip on the pistol. I expected more recoil with the diminutive pistol and was surprised recoil wasn’t stronger. I would describe the recoil as “snappy”. The gun was easy to get back on target and a lot of fun to shoot.
I have a 9 mm Shield and am very happy with it. That being said I would definitely pick up a P365 as another carry gun. With the 12 round magazine it is still a little smaller than the Shield with an 8 round magazine. An supposedly Sig has ironed out some of the bugs that some of the initial guns had.

My brother showed me his last April and as soon as I put my hands on it, I knew I wanted one. I was at the LGS yesterday morning to pick up some Trail Boss and primers and I already had my credit card on the counter when I asked, "Any P365's in stock?".

He pointed at one under the glass. I leaned over, looked at the price tag (it was "doable") and I told him to go ahead and ring it up! I just got back from my gun club's indoor range with it not a half hour ago where I put 50 rounds through it. Before heading to the range I was watching Youtube videos on all the problems the early P365's had, including firing pin drag on the primer (leading to broken firing pins), failures to lock open and a few more. So here I was in my living room yesterday with my brand new, not yet fired P365 seeing how many issues it had out of the gate. But I also saw some more recent videos by shooters who stated Sig had addressed these problems, so I was hoping that included mine.

My pistol was made last month according to the sticker on the box it came in. The 50 rounds of Aguila 115 grain FMJ ran flawlessly, and as soon as the first empty cases landed on the ground I picked them up and noticed there was barely any perceptible firing pin drag at all. Only the very slighted ovaling of the firing pin impression, and less than my S&W Shield puts on a primer. So in that regard, Sig took very seriously the reported problems and got them addressed. Kudos to Sig.

The pistol has already replaced my Ruger LCR .357 as my pocket gun. I found it to shoot very comfortably and accurately. The trigger is brand new so it had just a touch of "mush" to it but certainly not objectionable. My hands are medium-large but I had no trouble keeping purchase with the flat bottom (no pinkie extension) 10 round magazine. That is my preferred baseplate config to minimize concealed bulk.

Overall, couldn't be happier with it. 11 rounds of 9mm firepower in a package I can drop in a pocket holster and carry all day...I'm sold.
