I just bought a pair of Pachmyer compact grips for my N-frame 325. I love the feel of the grips, but I am having a small problem...

When tightened down, there is still a small gap between the grips right under the trigger guard.... I can live with that, but to get it to this point, the grip screw has to be tightened to the point that the end of the screw protrudes out of the opposite side grip panel noticeably, not to mention it jabs into my hand.

Am I doing something wrong?

i had the same problem when i put a decelerator on my 629. i got some small washers from work and fixed that. put one on the wifes 686+ with no problems at all. i can't figure that one out. :banghead:

That seems to be a fairly common problem with Pachmyers. A Dremel will fix the screw right up. Out of 5 pairs i've had to shorten the screw in 2 pairs.

Grip Problem

If you have a spring type clamp put it over the offending place overnight and see if that makes a difference.

I had the same problem with the decelarator grips for my 629. Reordered a different style and had simular problems. Returned them to the maker and settled with the factory Hogues.
