I found a source for a Pacific Powder measure w/ bushings for $15 plus shipping. Is this a good deal? Is it a decent powder measure? I would want it for rifle case reloading.

I have spent a while digging around here and the net but can't seem to find anything about them.

Any help would be appreciated--

Personally I wouldn't want a powder measure that uses bushings for rifle reloading. That's because you'll never have a bushing that throws the exact powder charge you want. IMHO, bushing meausres are best used for light target loads for handguns, or for shotguns.

Pacific was bought out by Hornady years ago, and thier products now carry the Hornady name. I'm sure it's a good quality product, it may just not be quite as versatile as you'd like.

Pacific merged with Hornady, or rather Hornady sucked up the Pacific Reloading company about 35 years ago. You can no longer get parts for Pacific brand stuff.
Hornady doesn't even still make a powder measure using bushings.
They do not support old Pacific equipment any longer.

I know because I have been in the shop all day making seating stems for a set of Pacific 9mm carbide dies that I can't get parts for.
The old RN stem won't fit modern bullets like XTP's and Gold-Dots.

Even for $15 bucks, I'd pass, and get something current that is still being made.

I have one, with 5 "bushings", marked from 2.5 grain s of Bullseye to 5.0 grains, in .5 grain increments. I use it a lot for pistol loading, but not really practicle for rifle loads.
