OK, I'm having some problems with it reading consistently. It frequently won't register a shot. When it does register one, it seems to be consistent - no 1100fps followed by a 1900fps followed by an 800fps or anything like that.

I've changed the battery, it is in the most consistent lighting (shadows, not direct sunlight), and I'm shooting in the same spot consistently (and I've tried to find its sweet spot, which seems to be about 4" above the sensors).

I always use the diffusers.

Anyone have any tips for me?
 
Yes!

Call PACT and Whine as loud as you can, without becoming annoying.

They work right, if they are right.

Yours apparently isn't right.

Or it is, and they can figure out what you aren't doing right.

How far is the Pact in front of your muzzle? If it's not a good 10-15 ft. your muzzle blast can affect the sky screen's ability to see the bullet.
