Hi guys. Thought I’d share a gun related experience that happened to me last night that sent two boys nineteen and seventeen and a thirteen year old girl to jail.

Playing the “divorced guy†role, I’ve stayed at a lady friend’s “house with wheels†(in her defense I think she took her’s off) the last four weekends. I’ve got to say it’s been interesting. The first weekend a fight started between two families and spread to five. Resulting in one guy, who lived directly across the street from my lady friend, going to jail for fighting and cultivating. The law has been in the neighborhood every weekend that I can think of.

Last night, shots rang out at about mid-night. I went to the window and watched for the law. Nothing. Hmm . . . Must be someone defending their garden from rabbits I thought. About 2 am three more shots woke me up. I went outside and stood in the yard (P 239 in my belt) for a while and two more shots. That is coming from across the street. Behind the now empty trailer the cultivator lived in. That is the school bus depot/repair yard. Others came out and started to mill around. Somebody called the cops who drove past the people who called them, turned around in my lady friend’s driveway (which I was standing in) and left without saying a word to anybody. The brave sole.

After talking to the crowd that had formed, I went between the last two trailers (both empty) with Sig in hand and stood at the end looking behind the row trailers. After a few minutes, a head poked out of a door leading to the crawl space under the cultivator’s trailer. I drew down and yelled to stay where you were and backed off toward the crowd. Then ran.

Somebody called the law again and it took 15 minutes for him to make his second appearance. This time he climbed out with an M 4. Yanked the charging handle and started to wards the heavy brush between the trailers and the bus yard. Stopped and looked at the brush and groaned. Being the helpful type I said “I know where a trail is . . . follow me.â€

There are six derelict buses on the nearest lot. All of them full of spray cans and plastic bags. In the second bus he found three people passed out with plastic bags still in their hands. The cop came out of the bus and started to search the other buses, leaving the ‘huffers’ to nap. Other cops showed up. After searching the other buses they woke up the huffers. A nineteen year old who lives in the trailer park, a seventeen year old who knew he was going the walk because of his age, and a thirteen year old girl (who was laying on top of the nineteen year old in the bus) wearing only a tee shirt claiming “Mama threw her out of the house.â€

When asked about the gun the oldest said there is a gun in the bus. They found a S&W J frame .38 Special. Nobody would say who the gun belonged to, only that “It’s not mine.†And
since nobody claimed it, all were charged with having a gun on school property, trespassing and huffing paint.

The nineteen year old looked at me and said â€I’ll be seeing you.†I’m going to contact the prosecuting attorney’s office and tell them about that and remind them that the huffers discharged a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling. Just for kicks.

I would put the wheels back on her house and tow it to a better part of town!

:D

We're looking for a place. She said her wheels were under her house. :D

Maybe you ought to take her your place for a change.

Nope. I lost one house to my ex. I'm not letting anyone near my current house. Been there. Done that.

An update. The nineteen year old has been charged with statutory rape.

The shots at 12 am was when somebody shot a woman's dog while it was tied to her porch. No word as to whether the same people will be charged. The cops know about the dog but the woman is afraid to file a complaint.

i dunno bout the rest of you, but when i hear gunshots in my neighborhood, the LAST thing i'm gonna do is poke my head out into the open.

unless i know someone is injured and needs assistance, i will stay where its safe and call in the cavalry to sort things out.

i think i'm starting to get the whole picture now....

wild bought the sniper rifle to "take care" of the drug and prostitution problems in spenard! no wonder he was so intent on getting one holers at 100 yards.
:neener:
