Picked up a like new Colt Agent revolver with shroud and cant decide if i want to keep or not?. Would like to take it apart and clean, but should i drop a small spring or small part, cant figure out where i would find a replacement parts.

Any suggestions where to find replacement parts. have googled every site online but never get a clear answer. Parts will be listed but just no pricees or indication if they are available.

Shame, really like the little six shooter gun, hands getting weak with age for racking the slide, so revolvers will be replacing my semi autos.

The Colt Agent uses the same internal parts as all the Colt "D" framed guns like the Detective Special, Cobra, and Diamondback.

However.... almost all internal parts are hand fitted and adjusted at the factory, and these parts are not easy to fit unless you know exactly how to do it.
Parts DO NOT drop in.
This is why it's hard to find a good gunsmith who knows Colt's.

My suggestion is this..... buy a copy of the Jerry Kuhnhausen shop manual. This is a real gunsmiths manual written as a training aid to train new gunsmiths.
It covers in very fine detail all about how to disassemble and repair the Colt revolvers.
It's worth the money just to be able to determine if your Colt is adjusted and timed properly.
