I am a pastor in Kentucky. I am retired LEO and for some time at a church I was an associate minister and security, (my pastor asked me to ccw), along with a couple of others in the congregation. Whenever I was in the pulpit to fill in for him, I didn't carry. But a few months ago I accepted a pastorship in a small rural church. At first I was leaving it in the car. After the shooting at a church a few weeks ago, I had a heart to heart and much prayer. My congregation is an older group and no ccw carriers, and I wouldn't forgive myself if I had the training and wasn't prepared to protect them as best as I could. So now I do ccw, IWB in case someone hugs me. Understand it isn't to protect me per se, but for those on canes and walkers who might be innocent victims.
