After five years with the Brady Campaign, Paul Helmke is stepping down and Dennis Hennigan will temporarily take over as the acting head of the Brady Campaign.
This kind of bums me out. During his tenure as the public face of the Brady Campaign, Helmke could always be counted on to say things that came across more as a parody of a gun control activist rather than the real thing.
His tenure has seen the largest drop in membership in the Brady Campaign, along with an accompanying drying up of dues, grants, and overall funding.
