I’m looking for data on the Pedersoli Pennsylvania rifle (percussion) in .32 caliber in regards to accuracy and loads. Thanks in advance.

My Pedersoli .32 Pennsylvania shoots two loads very accurately. My early season squirrel load is 15 gr of 3f with a .311 ball and a .015 patch lubed with mink oil. Close to quarter sized groups at 25 yards. Later in the season, when the leaves have started to fall, I switch to 25 grains of 3f with the same ball and lubed patch. I get 1.5" groups at 50 yards with this load. That is about as far as I will shoot at a squirrel with iron sights and my ageing eyes.

The Pedersoli manual recommends powder charges between 31 - 40 grains, a .315 ball and a .010 patch. --->>> https://www.davide-pedersoli.com/uploads/supporto/9TABELLA DOSI POLVERE 2014_06.pdf

The .32 has ballistics similar to a .22 magnum.

The Lyman BLACK POWDER HANDBOOK says a .32 rifle with a 26 inch barrel and a 1:66 twist had the following velocity and energy with a .310 roundball and loaded with Goex 3Fg powder:

30 grains = 1940 fps, 376 ft/lb muzzle energy
40 grains = 2072 fps, 429 ft/lb " "
50 grains = 2203 fps, 485 ft/lb " "
60 grains = 2238 fps, 501 ft/lb " "
70 grains = 2273 fps, 516 ft/lb " "
