"Peening" Around the Breech of a vz.82

I recently received my second CZ vz.82 pistol and noticed something which struck me as odd. I hope that it's not a cause for concern. The breech (that is to say, the portion of the frame which surrounds the breech end of the barrel, itself) looks as if it has taken quite a beating. The barrel seems to be okay, and it shoots and functions fine. Is this anything unusual? I don't know what has caused it. I can't see any signs of "hammering" on the face of the slide. It is the (apparently) original polygonal barre, and the serial numbers match. This condition doesn't seem to be present with my other vz.82, either of my Makarovs, nor my P64. Any thoughts?

That's what I'm kind of wondering, Walt. Maybe some overly-aggressive armorer who had too much Pilsner Urquell! Oh, well. It functions fine.

Could be just ham handed dismantling, being careless about removing the slide, especially if the damage is mainly in the upper half of the barrel. No telling how much abuse a older sidearm has had inflicted upon it.

Thank all the internet "experts" who advise gun owners to strip every gun down completely to "clean" everything.

I'm confused. Since when is cleaning a gun carefully a "bad" thing?

I think his point is about those who can't take the gun apart properly or, more importantly, put it back together the way it should.
