I was asked an odd question the other night after a hunter ed class. A guy that traps nusance animals came up to me and asked if I knew where to get a Pellet Rifle Certification. He stated it was more of a insurance/libality cover your rear thing than real training. So I pose this question; Has any one ever heard of such a thing as Pellet Rifle Certification?

I, stumped for an answer, directed him to the NRA for a basic rifle course. Does anyone know of anything else?

THanks

I've never heard of that but using a pellet gun for pest control for other people, he might have to have some kind of permit in some states. In Ky it's not legal to hunt small game with an pellet gun or a slingshot but I'm not sure about pests other than around your own home.

a lot of cities have ordinances that rule discharge of air rifles the same way as discharge of firearms inside city limits... so perhaps hes asking about how to get a license that would exempt him from that ordinance?
