Petition to make purchasing suppressors easy (non NFA)

Hi Everyone,

Please sign this petition to bring the Hearing Protection act to the Congress floor. It would make purchasing a suppressor as easy as any other rifle or handgun and eliminate the $200 tax stamp. For those that have already paid the tax stamp for a pending item you will be refunded.

1. Change.org online petitions are worthless.
2. Writing/calling/emailing your congressman is far better.
3. The Hearing Protection Act has as much chance of passage as Barack Obama being a speaker at the NRA Convention.

Getting the Federal Government to refund an already-paid tax is an even less likely outcome.

Welcome to the forums! I applaud your efforts. The riddance of Ryan as Speaker, who foldedreallyquick on this bill this time last year, will be beneficial.

I concur on the lack of effectiveness on petitions >in this case.

All things are focused on fall elections, best to phone bank them after that (IMHO). Preferably, everyone on a specified day (again IMHO).

Again not to wet down your efforts. And please post a lil more about you, hunt, target shoot, collector (watch it, that bug bites hehe) , home defense, 2A advocate or etc.
