The guy who authored the post on CMP (PH68) is pretty much a volunteer at the south store (he posts a weekly stocking report on the south store board for CMP and helps out a bit with first timers looking to purchase). I make a point of reading that report each week - even though my interest - the 30 carbine is no longer being stocked there... I posted the heads up on the Phillipine returns since I've read lots of speculation about the condition they'd be in. At least for now the ones making into the sale stock are quite good for those wanting a CMP Garand....

CMP forum North Store reports show they are pretty much empty. Typically North Store would have good inventory during national Match, I guess trucks still on the way.

According to CMP forum member who frequents South Store, if stocking tag (blue) has a “Y” on the back, it signifies that the rifle was processed in the building where they are processing the rifles imported from the Philippine Islands.

For details and vast knowledge of CMP firearms, I suggest you check out the CMP forum.
