Well, it's official. I don't like Phoenix Arms anymore. I've had an HP22 for a few years, and it hasn't been shot very much. When I got it a few years ago, after about 1-2 mags thru it, the HAMMER SNAPPED OFF.
It just popped off, and landed on the ground. The part that broke was the little hole that the pin goes thru, that mounts the hammer to the frame.
Anyway, when it broke, I returned it to the store, and they took care of everything.
The other day, I shot 20 rounds thru it, and it was fine.
Today, I shot about 3 rounds thru it, and the HAMMER BROKE. AGAIN.
In the exact same place. I wasn't even surprised. The first time it happened completely caused me to lose all faith in this hunk of worthless metal.
So, does anyone know if there is any kind of warranty on these paperweights? I'm sure it would have expired by now, but this has been an ongoing problem.
Any info by anyone would be great. Another thing to add, is that these guns have the most worthless "safeties" on them. You cant take the mag out, if the safety is on. You cant rack the slide, if the mag is out, etc.
Since this gun is very simple, "someone" umm, has taken the liberty to remove these safeties, and make it function like a real gun. Did this completely void any warranty I could have hoped to have?
Thanks.
