I bought the Phoenix Technology Kicklite Adjustable stock for a Mossberg 590 12 gauge shotgun.

The good news:
The stock reduces 30 % of perceived recoil.
The stock also has a built in shell holder.

The bad news:
My face was constantly slapped by the movement of the stock. It's hard to get a good cheek weld with the darn thing without getting slapped.

At this point, I put the original stock back on. Does anyone have a solution/suggestion regarding the use of the Kicklite stock?

Trapshooters have been fooling with shock absorber stocks for some time now.
They have to be set up just right to get the recoil reduction without distracting movement in the telescoping members. Probably one reason they are not all that common.
