So do any of you play with photoshop and make posters or the like of your guns? The quote just popped in my head and I had to do something with it. Here's what came out. Let me know what you think.

No worries. I work for a publishing company and though I am not a graphic designer I am around them all day long and have learned over time what to look for.

#2: so many things wrong with this pic. Finger in trigger is by far the worse. :banghead:
Yeah, when are them darn murderous villains going to learn proper trigger finger discipline!!?!!

armoredman makes awesome posters. I haven't seen many, but the ones I've seen were good.

Good lord people are so touchy here it's ridiculous. Ok, let me set this clear...the comment was half serious and half joking. I'm sure there's a lot in the photo that was meant to look "wrong" and made the comment as one who noticed. However, unless the photographer is actually using "darn murderous villians" for his shots, then the "finger in trigger" is still a party foul. Also, just to clarify...I don't think that armoredman makes anything less than "awesome posters" and never intended to say anything contrary to that. Any other tulips that need to be tip-toed around that I haven't covered??? :scrutiny:

I made (not from scratch) some desktop backgrounds for my new computer when I got it a while ago.

Those are huge pictures. Mods, if that's a problem, let me know or resize/delete them as needed.

Yeti, That is good! You HAVE to publish that one now. Perhaps your local paper's editorial page?

Actually, my finger was in the trigger of the revolver, absolutely, and the gun was pointed at the bare carpet, not an any physical person. See, both people in the pic are me. :) That's two pictures joined, worked pretty good, eh?

I did it a few other times.

Thanks for all the positive comments, guess I need to start getting back into that, these are all older stuff. I don't have access to the models of fine equipment Oleg has, and it shows, cheap digital camera and $20 tripod. This is the only PSA style poster where I got models, (family) to pose.

Then there's just plain goofy.

Edit to add, I didn't mean to monopolize the thread...

armoredman - I really enjoyed your work - you have a knack for getting the composition spot on! The message is clear and unmistakable in every one!

I especially liked the one about the U.N. The U.N. is a union of the NATIONS of this world NOT a union of its peoples. Since the majority of these nations are not democracies it is in their best interest to disarm their subjects. Thanks for telling that story pictorially. I hope to see this used by some pro-gun organization, perhaps Jews for the Preservation Firearms Ownership - they have the same mindset.

I would like to see a variation in the wording of one of your compositions:

"The gun is the tool. You are the weapon."

Any poster I put up is, of course, in public domain. I would LIKE to be attributed to my work/ Unlike Oleg, mine isn't good enough for people to steal for thier publication. :) I do say if anyone wants them for thier own personal use, of course, go for it, I just do it for grins and giggles.
I can try to do something along those lines you suggest...hmm...creative juices stewing...burp.
