My mind has been rendered to mush over the past few weeks with a ton of things happen resulting in ample overtime at work and fun (read Covid) at home.

I want to suppress my Palmetto State Armory AK-V and do intend to do some research on the different types. However, with the amount of stuff on my plate, I really don't feel like I would do proper research any justice, giving me just enough knowledge to make an idiotic choice.
This whole thing about adapter places and pistons has me confused enough to ask for help.

If there are enough responses to form a consensus, that's likely what I'll purchase.

I'm going to defer to the vast THR experience and ask: if one had a stock PSA AK-V and intended to run a subsonic JHP such as 147gr HSTs or 147gr Sig V-Crown, what would be among the best choices if effectiveness and low-maintenance are the priority? It would be excellent if it were compact, but that's not a requirement. Inexpensive would also be nice, but I'm a realist.

This is currently my bump-in-the-night firearm. I would like it to remain as reliable (it has yet to malfunction) yet perhaps hearing safe-"ish" if fired within a dwelling... this is also the go-to for my wife when I'm at work.

I ran a 45 Osprey until my 9mm Obsidian got out of jail. I prefer my Obsidian I can run it full length or in K configuration.

Being "belt fed rated" gives me peace of mind due to the AK-V being a hungry beast that I run hard and fast. I get it hot and have no worries. I also like that the Obsidian is user serviceable for cleaning.

147gr stays subsonic and is hearing safe.

Can confirm that a Rugged Obsidian 9 is an incredible 9mm suppressor in terms of build quality and performance.
