Seems to shoot ok, well balanced and just looks classy.

Judging by that raggedy hole in the center of the target I would have to say that "Seems to shoot ok" is a bit of an understatement on your part! Same with "just looks classy"!

From the overall appearance of things I think: "This gun-35shoots lights out...great" and "Is one classy looking Hi-Power", would be in order!

I predict you'll be spending a lot more time at the range with your SA-35!

That is a nice-looking pistol! Good shooting, too. How do the grips feel?

To me they feel pretty good. Plenty of traction without being obnoxious, and not too fat.
There are a lot of aftermarket grips for these, but I'll leave these on at least for a while.
My opinion on grips will change sometimes as I get more trigger time on a gun.

These are my grips more purely for show...

I like mine despite having to send it back to Springfield for a couple of things. They made it right and all is well. The short and crisp trigger resets of my SAO 229 and C2 cause issues when I blast the SA-35 (or any HP). I can't get used to the long and inaudible/virtually non-tactile reset of their triggers. They point beautifully though, and it's handled all of the JHPs I've tried with it. Better yet, my wife likes it as the recoil is very mild and it fits her small hands perfectly.

Replace the trigger return spring with a heavier one from BHSS and it will be better. Not as good as some modern strikers but better.

Had mine out this evening shooting it at 100 yards offhand.I actually did pretty good with it.They're a blast to shoot, handle like nothing else and are quite accurate.Trigger's a little crunchy, but not so bad. They are great little pistols in my opinion.I carry mine quite a bit,and it's nice to know what it can do.

VERY nice. I had been keeping my eye out for one of those, but found a Girsan first. I gotta admit that the Springfield has it all over the Girsan for looks. Love those grips. And the "blue" finish...my Girsan is FDE with black rubber grips. Not bad, but certainly not as classy as Blue/black and walnut.

Good shooting too, by the way.

I would buy one in a heart beat ... Classic Good Looks , Walnut grips and blue steel , no magazine disconnect helps the trigger pull ... no pesky grip safety either . I've always wanted a Classic Hi-Power to go with my 1911...just never in the right place with money ... this one would be the one .
If it needs a little accuracy work or a trigger job ...that's easy to get done .
I shoot at 50 feet now days ... the closer you get the better your targets look !!!
Thanks for posting ,
Gary

I always appreciate well ventilated targets, the 2 “flyers” are so close to the ragged hole, I wouldn't even call them flyers, offhand? how many rounds? what distance?

That was just 10 rounds at about 25 feet

Really? That gun likes you, you will be chewing the meatball in no time. With the exception of a grip change, I wouldn’t make any major mods to a gun that works for you right out of the box.
