I got there about 2hrs early and walked 1/2 mile to the store. People were really polite even with the ammo in fact when I was at the gun counter the guys were passing out the 1400rd buckets of 22 limit 1 and everyone waited their turn. The buckets ran out but when I left at around 9pm they still has bricks of 22.

Ours, mentioned in your other thread (the one about an hour south of you), opened about a month or so ago, and I've been in it about six or seven times. The last time was about an hour ago, though I didn't buy anything. I only went to sign up for the rewards card, and had a pocket full of ammo receipts to add the points from them.

The opening was indeed very well-done and civil, though I went the second day, not the first. Still, there was a lot going on, including live entertainment and giveaways.

The Taurus M94 in stainless I'd been eyeballing there was gone today. Kind of glad it was; I probably would have bought it, and I really don't need to be buying another gun this close to Christmas.

Airgun prices are a bit higher than they probably should be, given the local competition. I've been eying the Gamo PT-85, a CO2-powered pistol based on the Beretta PX4. BPS has it for $119; Wal-Mart (which has three stores in my city) has it for $70.

Quite a few pretty ladies working at BPS, though. Refreshing. :D

Medwheeler - I was at the Port St Lucie BassPro a few days after their Wednesday opening and by then their .22 ammo was totally depleted, except for some subsonics. Not much in the line of .223 on the floor either at that time. Have not been there recently, so I am not in a position to comment further.
I did like the store layout and all the other 'goodies' they had on offer - even though I left without spending a dime at the time. Took a lot of self control I have to admit.
