Family gift to my father-in-law who has lusted after a bright Colt Python for many years. 1987 serial, found out after purchase that it left the factory as a non-bright model. Whoever did the polishing did a good job IMO but I ain't no expert.

Paid waaaay too much for it and only noticed the pitting around the chamber mouths after accepting delivery but whaddayagonnado? FIL is ecstatic and that was the whole point.

Got to shoot it today and it was a pleasure. My first experience even touching a Colt Python.

Pics below.

Wow...he's a lucky guy to have a Family like ya'll and a Python like that. Congratulations to having each other and *Thank You* for sharing the pix!

Very nice polishing job! I also like those wood grips with the Colt medallions; nice touch.

Wow, that's beautiful. I didn't know that Colt made a stainless Python. I thought they only did blue, and nickel. Learn something new every day!

Colt made them in matte and factory polished bright or "ultimate". The upcharge 20 years ago for bright instead of matte was only 30 or 40 bucks. Today factory brights bring more like 30 to 40 percent more than matte.
