For no reasons other than work avoidance and a nearby camera, here are some shots of an Argentine Sistema Colt Model 1927 made in 1956. This old slabsides has some bumps and scrapes, but I can only hope that I will look this good in 53 years. Kind of ironic, using brand new technology to capture design nearly a century old, but John Browning's genius will doubtlessly outlast any digital flash in the pan.

Very nice, nice photos, sir. I got the chance to shoot a few of the Argentine 1911 cloes several years ago, Ballister Molina and Rigaud, actually quite nice guns.

That's one nice pistola. As a fan of 1911s who's officially closer to 60 than 55, I'm jealous of it's condition.

It was real nice some years ago when you could pick them up for a "song", but not anymore. Back then, most pistoleros thought they were some inferior 1911 from South America: damn, education hurts...:D
Btw, I like your pistol. These are a few of mine...If my original grips were like yours, I wouldn't have customized mine...

Thanks for the kind words, and nice pistols MM! I wish the 1927s were still available for rock bottom prices, but the cat's out of the bag regarding these guns. It took nearly two years of looking to find one with an original finish for a price I was willing to pay.

Very nice collection there, hog. I've got a nice sistema like shear stress' that I picked up a few years ago for a decent price. They have become much more expensive. Mine was made in 1946. It's the only gun in my collection, besides my hi power, that gives me hammer bite.

Oh, that's where they all went!
