~Pictures of your Ammo Stockpile~

Siglite, hopefully after I get my reloading goodies this weekend my furniture will be covered in ammo goodness like that. If I can fenagle the camera from my fiancee I will try to post a pic of the kids and their food...

Not exactly a stockpile but here's part of my SHTF closet. I've taken out the 72hr kits that normally sit in front on the floor:

Not sure I really know how much or where it's all located....here's part of it. There's another 5000 rounds of 12ga trap loads and a few cases of .22's, no pics.

Well, the economy went south..... I bought all I could afford, being that .223 is mighty expensive these days.

I'm not going to divulge until I take some pictures - but for everyone who's stocking up on guns, you all should be stocking up on ammo (and magazines) - that's where the prices are really jumping!

I say 500-1000 rounds minimum for each caliber you shoot (more for .22lr, cheap com-bloc, etc)

I actually can't, 'cause I've got it spread out in about five places because I don't want all the weight in one part of the house. Besides, everybody knows what a half dozen 20mm ammo cans and a couple crates of Romanian 8mm and Czech 54R looks like.

My ammo pile consists of a stack of wheel weights, a bunch of assorted primers, dirty brass, a tumbler, some molds, four donkeys, a 55 gallon drum of canola oil, an etch-o-sketch, a turkey fryer and a fist-sized ball of dryer lint. This may not be as effective as some of yours, but I certainly have all of my bases covered.

This is not how I'd like to draw attention to myself. Far too many less than understandy people out there.

Just by responding to this thread and saying you "don't want to draw attention to yourself" did exactly that. Didn't it?

Not to jump your **** - but if you trully didn't want to draw attention to yourself .......you wouldn't be a active member of a progun website and making comments about not wanting the attention.

I can understand people not wanting to show pics of their collections and such - on the premise that its asking for trouble. At that point I would simply then just not "show up" in such threads. On top of that - not come in and crap on a guys request in which he thought would be a interesting topic.

Just my two cents.

No offense guys, but this kind of thread, especially with all of the photos, is fodder for the antis. They see a propagandizing opportunity if someone has 300 rounds.

They have an entire board full of things to propagandize about (example: let's shut the rifle forum because they might use pictures of the evil "assault weapons" and "sniper rifles" we own to show how crazy we are). Anything we do is propaganda for them, no use stressing over it as long as our actions are within the law.

So all the gun pictures posted aren't "propaganda" but ammo pictures are? I don't see many people complaining about all the beautiful guns posted on here.

Just because I have a gun doesn't mean I'm shooting people with it, and just because I have more ammo than the Mexican army doesn't mean I'm shooting it at people.

Just what I was thinking.

:)

I've lost the patch cord temporarily for my digi-cam, but I'm in the "don't put too much in one part of the house or the floor may collapse" category.

:D

Floppy D,

It's probably a stupid question, but what do you do with the Etch-O-Sketch and the 4 donkeys???
