Pistol Training Course

What class have you taken that you would recommend for someone wanting to do a course in defensive pistol?

I have thought about Tac Pro since it is close. Ive also seen Magpul, but it may be harder to get to.

Any suggestions?

Depending on your skill level, either DPS or CRG with Suarez International:

Texas has a good many trainers, see the list of schools stickied at the top of the S&T index page for some of them. Also take a look at the thread linked above.

I have been to several Handgun courses, I highly recomend Rob Pincus and the Combat Focus Shooting Course. (www.icetraining.us)

TX has a lot of good folks - if you are near - www.krtraining.com - my base guru. Highly recommended with a nice progression of courses.

Houston and Dallas has good folks also. Threads on this here, TFL, Glocktalk.

Tom Given's Rangemaster is a "must attend" for a serious student living down south.

I rank him in the top 5 of the trainers in business today. The several dozen of his students who survived their gunfight probably rank him number #1.
