Pistols in 9x23

It seems like this is an absolutely awesome round, giving better than .357 Sig ballistics yet we can have plenty of pistols out there with 16 and 17+1 chambered in it, with the mag ban dead is anyone thinking about releasing guns chambered in it?

How intense is it to get a pistol rechambered for 9x23?

I really like my S&W 5906, adding some extra punch to it would be quite nice.
