Would anyone know where to get good plastic training props for gun disarms and such? In my martial arts club we have several rubber ones but they bend and give, a firm plastic one would be a great aid, something like a Glock or XD.

Thanks

Go with Airsoft. The spring models are cheap and you can get many different types. They shouldn't break under the stress of disarms.

Also, I have a rubber Beretta but it's hard rubber...I can't make it bend. Perhaps you should look into different rubber models as well.

S.P.E.C.T.R.E.

Those Airsofts are not really sturdy enough for the task of hands on training in a dojo.

Ring's can be had in the neighborhood of $35-$40. ASP's for slightly more.

These training replicas are made specifically for this purpose.

Does anyone have any experience with one of these ? Obviously they aren't the quality of the red and blue guns... but they sell for $7 on amazon, so if they work, thats a bargain. Hard to say who makes them , they seem to be pretty generic and sold as low end martial arts gear.

I sell the ASP's and the Blue Guns. Blue Gun pistols are $37.00 shipped for pistols, and $42.00 shipped for ASP red pistols.

Definetly stay away from airsoft unless you're doing true airsoft training where you all wear eye protection. The red/blue guns and take a beating and keep going.

I have an aluminum cast gun which will hold up to absolutely anything, but can't remember where I got it from.

Only real downside is that it's obnoxiously cold on your hands if you leave it in the car in the winter. :)
