Everybody here is stir crazy, just like most of you probably are. My girls want to get outside and do stuff but they have played with all of their toys to a point that they are bored with them. They have been asking to go shoot since I got them their 22 rifle, but this corona mess is in the way of that.

I finally broke down and bought them a BB gun. I was very hesitant to do so because the ones my sister bought a couple years ago were pure trash. Inconsistent shots both in velocity and point of impact, and so bad in fact that it was detrimental to my niece and nephew learning to aim because anything they tried was not making for repeated hits. Walmart is about the only option for air guns for me. Academy stays sold out of the cheaper guns that I am willing to buy, and TSC is overpriced so...Walmart it is. They didn’t have the pink gun I was looking for, but they had this one which is my oldest daughters favorite color. I will buy a pink one when I find one, but for now they can share. The lever carbine look is neat too, and is pretty comfortable.

Reading reviews after the purchase usually isn’t good, and some poor reviews led me to open up the box and test drive this little thing, and I can honestly say that I’m pleasantly surprised. It shoots well, and it is consistent. For $35 total with tax and a 6000ct can of bbs I didn’t think it was bad at all. Now to get rid of this wet stuff falling from the sky... I already figured out it’s coke can accurate out to 25 yards. That’s plenty to teach good habits, and keep them interested, while also good for running the squirrels out of the garden. I think daddy did a good job... so I’m off to treat myself to some Popeyes mashed potatoes. Range reports with youngsters to follow!!!

Nice. If you were closer, I'd gift them the pink one still tucked under my bed, unopened. I bought it for my own daughter a few years ago, but held off in presenting it to her at that time for this or that reason. Now, she's used to the more "adult" air guns I've had her shoot, but isn't into them in general to appreciate owning one herself. She's eleven. How old are yours?

Nice work. I got a little bored here myself and bought a Daisy Powerline 880 from Orscheln's. I've been really surprised with how accurate the dang thing is. The trigger is... what do I care it's a $50 gun that I can kill time and sparrows with so to hell with it. I'm sure they will love that BB gun and the lever style is certainly cool. I cut my teeth on a Daisy Buck that I wore out so bad it's not even funny. My brother and I upped our marksmanship game by "sniping" grasshoppers in the garden. He had the red ryder, and for that I'll always be a little jealous.

8, 9, and due in 2 months. All girls.

There's actually a shooting program that uses daisy bb guns for training. The US Army had a program called Quick Kill. Basically point shooting out to 100 yards.

But I digress. I hope your daughters enjoy the daisy.
