Let Arthur Frommer Know You Oppose His Anti-RKBA Stance!

You can find his blog at http://www.frommers.com/blog/, in which he elaborates on his feelings about a boycott of Arizona, based on its "tolerance" of open carry.

I registered and commented (respectfully, but forcefully). I'd encourage all of you to do the same.

I support open carry, but I'm not sure a political rally is a good place for it.

This country has always prided itself on the peaceful transfer of power, and the rational debate of ideas. We seem to be on the slippery slope to third-world style, antagonistic politics.
 
I never thought a THR thread would prompt me to vote that there is no reason to boycott travel to Arizona.:eek:

This topic's relativity to RKBA is tenuous.

Most of the comments (by far) are going against him. Most of them are well written and well thought out too.

...Maybe I'm being nitpicky, but it'd sure be nice if people posting comments on pages like this used proper spelling and grammar. No need to give them any more dumb hick gun owner ammo (deserved or not).
 
I am going to travel to Arizona this winter, as I do every year. I will stay 6 months and spend plenty of money while I am there. I will take several firearms and shoot them frequently and will probably exercise my 2nd Amendment rights by carrying. Wonder how Mr. Travel Expert would take all that?

IMHO, this thread is VERY RKBA-related .

I won't be purchasing any of this anti's travel books. It's nice to know somebody's politics so I can make an informed decision whether or not I should bankroll his anti gun agenda.

Good call, Oron. Should've thought of Mother Earth first. I think Frommer would be particularly appropriate in the outhouse.
 
Up to 80....read some comments, so many fearful of guns. Criminals are afraid of law abiding citizens that OC. Guess some don't want that. No sense making the criminals insecure too.
 
A political rally is an excellent place to OC, as long as you are smart about it, and totally within the law. How many people that read this in the paper or online even knew it was legal to open carry. Maybe this will help us gain acceptance, if not, at least more people know its legal.

I know it is cliche', but if we don't excersize or rights they will go away.
 
I just called the Arizona Tourism Department and was given the name of one of their managers. I called her thinking to just leave a message of support and to say that I hadn't planned on visiting Arizona this year but now after I heard what Frommer has said I have now decided to go and spend money there to protest him.
